Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan expressed his annoyance at being detained by US airport immigration authorities for the third time.

He took to Twitter on Friday (Aug 12) and wrote:

"I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks."

However, he managed to find the bright side of the situation when he tweeted this shortly after:

"The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons."

After his tweet ciruclated, US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswal tweeted back:

"Sorry for the hassle at the airport, @iamsrk - even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!"

According to AFP via AsiaOne, the last time the 50-year-old was detained by immigration officials in New York in 201, it sparked an uproar among his Indian fans who accused the US of racial profiling.

This led Washington to apologise.
