Nate Diaz shocked the world with a submission victory against Conor McGregor in the second round of the main contest in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 196 fighting competition.

Conor went into the event as a favourite, having never lost a prior UFC fight.

However, he was caught in a rear-naked choke by Nate, and tapped out to give his opponent the victory.

Nate's Brazilianjiu-jitsu skills came in handy against his opponent.

Miesha Tate also scored a resounding victory against her opponent Holy Holm, who previously stunned the world with a knockout victory against the unbeaten Ronda Rousey.
