Mariah Carey's sister Alison Carey is in jail for prostitution, after allegedly posting an advertisement online using lyrics to Mariah's hits to entice customers.
The chart topper's 55-year-old sibling, Alison Carey, was detained in Saugerties, New York, by an undercover officer who posed as a man paying for sex, according to the Daily Freeman.
Alison was arrested after "soliciting money in exchange for sexual favors," after she allegedly advertised her services online and used lyrics from Mariah's hits to lure customers, according to the local newspaper.
One advert read: "Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just cant provide two you."
It included lyrics from Mariah's 1995 hit 'Fantasy,' which go: "But it's just a sweet sweet fantasy baby, when I close my eyes, you come and you take me, it's so deep in my daydreams, but it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy baby."
The 46-year-old star hasn't had contact with Alison for "years".
However, a source told People: "Mariah takes care of her entire family and I'm sure this is very painful for her."
Alison is locked up in Ulster County Jail and is due in court on August 30, with her bail set at $1,000.
Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra has advised anyone who has been in contact with her to seek medical advice, "particularly if it was unprotected."
