'Hot convict' Jeremy Meeks released from jail after 1 year, starting modelling career

Remember this hot felon that stole women's hearts (among other things) after his mugshot went viral?

Jeremy Meeks has now been released from jail after one year, and is due to start his modelling career.

Back in 2014, Jeremy Meeks was arrested along with three others in the Weston Ranch Operation Ceasefire Enforcement Mission. Meeks was arrested on five weapons charges.

Many noted that he still looks just as dashing in his first photo after being released from prison.

In the photo with Jim Jordon (@jimjordanphotography), Meek's agent, posted on his Instagram (@jmeeksofficial) he wrote:

"I want to thank my family and everybody for all your love, support and prayers. I'm overwhelmed and grateful for what lies ahead. I'm ready."

PerezHilton reports that Jordon opened up about the possibilities saying there were opportunities with "modeling agencies around the world," and there were also some "reality-show interests."

Meeks now has about 129,000 followers on Instagram.

Fate has a funny way of giving people second chances. Let's hope he stays on the right side of the law this time.
