Guess how much tax money Michael Phelps owes, thanks to all the Olympic medals he won

Michael Phelps has been an absolute beast at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

He has won six medals, five gold and one silver, in total.

According to reports, the United States Olympic Committee will pay medal winners USD$25,000 for each gold medal, USD$15,000 for each silver medal and USD$10,000 for each bronze medal.

Meaning the 31-year-old swimmer will rake in USD$140,000, reports The Lad Bible.

But he could reportedly owe around USD$55,000 for his tremendous performance at theOlympics.

A Twitter user posted that the US tax department collects $9,900 per gold medal.
