Elva Hsiao's fashion brand, Carry Me was forced to close down last month after being in business for two years.
Elva invested HKD7.2 million in it in 2015 and her ex-boyfriend Ko Chen Tung had helped her to promote it online and on social media.
According to Asian E-News Portal, the problem was rent:
"It was time to pay the rental and the strategy had changed. We wish to head towards electronic commerce and we decided not to renew the rental contract."
Elva created her Carry Me brand to fulfill her mother's dream and thus, it had great sentimental value for Elva as it was created in her mother's memory.
