Tough security guys are no match for star-struck teenage girls, and student Sabrina Natasya Nor Azren proved no different as left a meet-and-greet having hugged her idol.
She had “less than five seconds” with her idol Justin Bieber in a meet-and-greet but she would not leave without hugging him, reports Straits Times Communities.
“It all happened so fast. I got a group picture with him and his security immediately asked us to move on,” said the 16- year-old.
“But I managed to hug him before the security guy pulled me away.”
The encounter took place backstage on Monday evening before Canadian pop star’s performance at the Padang for the closing concert of the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.
Sabrina, a Bukit Batok Secondary School student, got to meet him after winning the Ultimate ST Justin Bieber Fan contest, which is part of The Straits Times Appreciates Readers (Star) programme, an initiative by this newspaper to reach out to readers and the community.
About 255 Bieber fans submitted entries in the form of videos, text and pictures describing their love for the pop star on the ST Communities website.
Sabrina sent in a two-minute video of herself undergoing a makeover to look like Bieber, as well as footage of herself and her friends celebrating the singer’s 18th birthday.
