Taiwan-based local singer-host Huang Jinglun does not care about romantic ambience on dates

If all men were like Huang Jinglun, we're pretty sure many chi-chi restaurants would be out of business in no time.

The 31-year-old Taiwan-based local singer-host does not care about romantic ambience on dates.

"Food is more important to me," he told M, while savouring the sumptuous spread at Cafe Melba, a bistro within Goodman Arts Centre.

"To me, an ideal dinner date would be over hotpot, where we can eat and chat to our hearts' content," added the bachelor, who is the male lead in Toy Factory's new musical Innamorati.

"Another option would be to go for a barbecue meal."
