Edwin Siu (蕭正楠) and Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), the stars of the upcoming romantic comedy drama Housewife Madam <師奶MADAM>, have been happy with the filming progress for their new TVB drama.

The onscreen partners-in-crime portray a pair of undercover detectives who infiltrate a housewife clique while pretending to be a married couple.

A light-hearted comedy, Housewife Madam pokes fun at many tropes of modern Hong Kong dramas, such as the phenomenon of wearing heels while chasing culprits.

Priscilla also spilled that she would have many intimate and awkward scenes with Edwin, saying, “Because there is only one bed in the apartment so we would take turns sleeping on it.”

Receiving the full script of Housewife Madam a few days after official production began, Edwin praised that TVB has kept its word on requiring scripts to be at least 80 percent complete before filming. Edwin explained that actors now have sufficient time to prepare for their roles.

According to a report on Jayne Stars, Priscilla revealed a mysterious event that occurred in the studios a few days ago even though filming has been going smoothly.

“There is a scene about a paranormal event in the story, but then something really weird happened. The server was down and the gates [to the studios] couldn’t open. It was creepy.” Edwin explained that the studios have recently been refurbished, so maybe the equipment was “too new.”

Produced by Lee Yim Fong (李艷芳), the 20-episode drama series also star Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Raymond Cho (曹永廉), Matt Yeung (楊明), Leung Ka Ki (梁嘉琪), and Rachel Kan (簡慕華).
