Michael Owen shocked by "smelliest thing in the world" in S'pore

Former striker Micahel Owen was in Singapore for a visit -- and was absolutely horrified by the smell of durians. 

Michael James Owen is an English former footballer who played as a striker for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City as well as the England national team.

According to Shin Min Daily News, he arrived at our Lion City on Jun 28, and went to a durian stall at night to try the famous Mao Shan Wang durian.

Upon taking a whiff, a shocked Owen exclaimed that "Durians has to be the world's most awful fruit in taste and smell"

He met up with football fans at Wisma Atria. This is his second time visiting sunny Singapore -- the first time in 2001.
