Lee Byung Hun has been being blackmailed by 2 women in their 20s, reports Allkpop.
The actor reported the women to the Gangnam Station police, revealing that the two women were blackmailing him for a large amount of money. According to the police, the two women filmed a video with their cell phones which show Lee Byung Hun with them, and have been blackmailing him saying that they will release the video otherwise.
According to Yonhap News, the video shows Lee Byung Hun drinking with the two women and telling obscene stories.
The women demanded 5 billion KRW (approximately 5 million USD) from the actor. The women have been revealed to be 21 and 25 years of age, and one of them is a rookie singer. The two women have been called to the station to be investigated.
According to HeraldPOP, the two women admitted to the blackmailing and said, "We heard from the police that they were arrested early morning. We called again in the afternoon, and they had both admitted to the blackmail. After the investigation, it was revealed that they didn't really have anything to demand such a big amount, so we were flustered."
Lee Byung Hun's label said:
On August 28th, Lee Byung Hun was blackmailed by people who threatened they would release personal videos and demanded billions of KRW from him. Even though celebrities often get these ridiculous threats and demands, he thought this had crossed the line and told the label immediately and reported them.
He told the label on the 28th, and the label reported this to the police. On September 1st, the women were arrested. Currently, the situation is under investigation, and the women, who were friends of a younger friend Lee Byung Hun knew, had admitted to the blackmailing. Also, after the police performed a seize and search, the women were not revealed to have anything special.

Since the thoughtless reporting of this case especially is a violation into his personal life and is cooperating with the suspect, we ask that exaggerated interpretations and the reporting of unconfirmed facts be refrained.
If articles based on false facts or articles that violate the actor's personal life comes up, we are letting you know in advance that we will take legal measures to protect the actor's private life. We hope media outlets will show us understanding and cooperation.
