Ke$ha's mother insists she doesn't have a drinking problem.

The 'Timber' hitmaker's mother, Pebe Sebert, hit back at rumours the star, who checked into a treatment facility near Chicago for 30 days last Friday (03.01.14), is seeking help for an addiction to alcohol in addition to an a eating disorder.

Singer-songwriter Pebe, who is a recovering addict, told Celebuzz: "The place she's at is an eating disorder centre.

"She might be crazy and she might get s**t-faced drunk, but everyone does. She might have a few drinks here and there. But she doesn't have a drinking problem."

Pebe said that Ke$ha is "doing well" now but admitted the singer might be in treatment for longer than originally planned.

She said: "This is going to be really hard for her. It's been a part of her life for so long. She may not get out that soon. That could just be a starting point."

A source previously said that the 'Tik Tok' hitmaker was getting help for her heavy drinking.

The insider said: "In recent months, those closest to her had become increasingly worried about her drinking. It's been the stuff of legend in the past and she's never hidden the fact that she loves to drink."

Pebe revealed in another interview that Ke$ha was once ordered to lose 15 pounds in a month.

The 'Timber' hitmaker, who is currently seeking treatment in the Timberline Knolls centre near Chicago for an eating disorder, was put under a huge amount of pressure to slim down and was allegedly advised to take drugs to suppress her appetite by a former associate.

The 26-year-old star's mother, Pebe Sebert, told gossip website "She had an advisor who told her he had a meeting with a record company and they said she better lose 15 pounds in the next 30 days.

"He told her he didn't care if she shoved her hand down her throat or took illegal drugs, but she had to lose the weight.

"Everybody in the industry has thrown up! Ke$ha's been in the bathroom with other celebrities throwing up."

Friends previously blamed Ke$ha's producer Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald, for her downward spiral but Pebe, who helped pen her daughter's hit 'Your Love Is My Drug,' said: "It wasn't just Luke."

She explained Ke$ha's decided to seek help after having a breakdown right before Christmas during which the blonde beauty admitted she had been struggling with bulimia since 2009.

Pebe added: "When someone feels like they have no control, it's like it was the only thing she could control. She had no control over her career, her time, where she goes. She's like a show dog who gets called from point A to point B."

"She was dieting and she became bulimic. I remember over a period of a few months she got really skinny and she said she was running Runyon Canyon [in Los Angeles] and just eating well.

"The truth is she was throwing up. I didn't know until much later because she said she would quit."
