It's been a pretty tough week for the Biebs.

After having a video of him sleeping spread on the internet, the 19-year-old popstar faces another controversy: Vandalism charges.

Justin Bieber has been officially charged for vandalism in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - after he had a session with his friends, spraying graffiti on the wall of the former Hotel Nacional.

It was stated by his camp that the city hall of Rio gave him permission to do graffiti on another location, but after deeming it too dangerous, the singer switched locations. They picked the new location under the assumption that it was an abandoned building and that it would be okay.

Unfortunately for him, it was not.

After three-days of testimonies from witnesses in court, he was charged.

He will not be arrested, but he will be fined. There will be a 30-day enquiry, where the judge will examine the evidence and determine the cost of the fine.

His representatives have not yet commented on the situation.

Bieber is set to perform a few more shows in South America after his stint in Rio.
