Hong Kong veteran actor Jackie Chan will be holding a party in Beijing next year for his 60th birthday.

The party, which will be held in April, is organised by Chan's son, Jaycee Chan, and will be a tribute to the martial artist's career in entertainment, reports AsiaOne.

Chan's illustrious career has seen the international star take on countless roles and death-defying stunts since he made his debut in the showbiz industry in the 1960s.

He is also one of the most recognisable Asian stars to grace the Hollywood silver screen, where he teamed up with Chris Tucker in action-comedy movie series Rush Hour.
