Horrific aftermath of Glastonbury shows the ugly side of music festivals

Glastonbury is undoubtedly one of the biggest music festivals in the world.

However, as with all massive events, there is a lot to be done even after the end of festival; more specifically, the clearing of rubbish left behind by irresponsible participants.

According to Acid Cow, so much of litter was left at the event site that it takes six whole weeks for the entire area to be cleared.

Apart from rubbish, drunk and exhausted partipants were also aplenty after the concert.

Based on the photographs, the scene looked more like a war zone or hippie colony more than a concert site.

Take a look at the gallery below to see what was left behind after the event ended.
