Harrison Ford's leg may have completely screwed up Star Wars sequel plans

Harrison Ford's leg is officially broken and rumour is he will be sidelined for six months.

This will have a profound impact on the filming on Star Wars episode 7, which means the movie is either going to be delayed or massively rewritten to take account of his injury.

According to a website called Jedi News, who says sources told them of an emergency meeting at Pinewood Studios to discuss how to handle Ford's sudden unavailability.

Since Ford's Han Solo is pipped as the film's lead, the only way to make the Christmas 2015 release date — which Disney has refused to move before — is to rewrite Ford's scenes, or rewrite the script entirely.

With just 18 months left to go before the movie's release, fans will certainly be waiting with bated breath to find out more.
