Dwayne Johnson has shared a combination image from two of his upcoming films Hercules: The Thracian Wars and Fast & Furious 7.

Johnson appears to be in full costume for his role as Hercules, bulging muscles highlighted by a lionskin hood accompanied by a full beard.

The film sees Hercules working as a sword-for-hire, who is commissioned by the King of Thrace and his daughter to defeat a warlord.

The image of the greek hero is contrasted against the modern day image of Johnson's Fast & Furious character Luke Hobbs.

Hercules: The Thracian Wars is directed by Brett Ratner and also stars Joseph Fiennes, Ian McShane, Rebecca Ferguson and John Hurt.

The film will be released in theatres in the US on July 25, 2014, reports The Straits Times.

Fast & Furious 7 is directed by james Wan and brings back most of the crew from the F&F franchise including Michelle Rodriguez, Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and Tyrese Gibson.

The film premieres in the US on July 11, 2014.
