Danièle Watts, who played CoCo in “Django Unchained” and stars in “Partners, was “handcuffed and detained” after she was mistakenly identified by a Los Angeles police officer as a prostitute.

According to Elite Daily, she was mistaken for a prostitute meeting a client, who happened to be her husband Brian James Lucas, and the two were arrested at CBS’s Studio City production facility.

Watts said she was attending a showcase with a friend and met Lucas at his car afterword. "I sat on his lap in the front seat of the car and we start making out," she recounted.

Watts, apparently not ashamed of her public display of affection, said a man saw the couple making out and came from an nearby office to ask them to “stop putting on a show.”

Minutes later police showed up.

Watts said she refused to show officers her ID and was handcuffed and put into the police car until the officers could figure out who she was.

Watts and Lucas were released quickly after.
