Coco Chiang worried her baby will mistake grandfather for her dad

Being pregnant did not stop Chinese model-host Coco Chiang, 36, from buying even more slinky dresses.

According to an article in The Straits Times, she was recently in town to promote her new infotainment programme, Coco's Pregnant Diary.

She points to her tight tube dress and says: "I thought to myself, I could fit into such dresses after I gave birth and continue to wear them."

This sassy attitude is very much on display on her show, currently airing here on cHK (SingTel Mio TV Channel 510) on Saturdays. The four-episode series tracks her during her first pregnancy and after she gives birth.

When she was eight months pregnant, the Hong Kong-based model posed in a near-nude pregnancy photoshoot with her husband's photographer- friend. The photos will be shown on the programme.

"I wanted to take the photos as a keepsake," says Chiang in a mix of Mandarin and English. "I was amazed at how the tummy could get so big. I felt beautiful when I was pregnant, my skin was glowing. Who knows what I'd look like during my second pregnancy?"

Her husband, jewellery designer Dickson Yung, 42, was proud for her to flaunt her body. Chiang says: "He was the most excited about the photoshoot and kept asking me to do sexy poses and not to cover up. He was also snapping photos on his own. To him, it was the sexier I looked, the better."

When it comes to parenting, Chiang declares with a laugh that her husband is a "hands-off dad".

She says: "He helped out only during the first few days after birth when we were in hospital. After that, he got busy with work so he doesn't have time to help change the diapers or bathe the baby."

Her 66-year-old father regularly goes to her home to look after Uma.

"Sometimes, I worry that my baby will mistake her grandfather for her dad," she jokes.

Viewers will get a chance to see Uma, Chiang's husband and father on the programme.
