Chilam Cheung continues to receive VIP treatment from his new boss Stephen Shiu Jr after signing with his agency, China 3D Digital Entertainment, last year.

The popular actor was recently invited to an all expenses paid vacation in the Maldives. Chilam happily obliged and was seen departing Hong Kong’s airport on Feb 3, along with wife Anita Yuen and their son, Morton, reported Jaynestars.

Achieving renowned popularity after his stint in the TVB blockbuster Triumph in the Skies 2, Chilam quickly took advantage of the opportunity to expand his career further.

He parted ways with Jet Tone, his former agency, after ten years and joined Shiu’s China 3D Digital Entertainment earlier in September.

Anticipating Chilam’s high earning potential, Shiu set up an elaborate welcoming ceremony to show off their partnership and promised to take his career to new heights.

Making frequent event appearances and scoring major endorsement deals, Chilam has probably become one of China 3D’s top earners and Shiu’s favorite.

To solidify their relationship, Shiu invited Chilam and his family to the Maldives to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

“It has been great working with him (Chilam) for the past few months. Taking his family on vacation is a type of reward,” said Shiu.

Chilam is certainly very satisfied with this holiday bonus. Having little time to spend with his family due to his busy schedule, he appreciates this little break from work and was in a great mood on the day of their flight.

With warmer tropical weather expecting him and his family there, Chilam is looking forward to skinny dip with his son in the beautiful waters.

Even though his boss may have a completely different agenda, Chilam is glad to put aside his usual routines and take a breather.

He said: “I will most likely be in meetings during this trip to Maldives, but being able to leave Hong Kong [for vacation] makes me feel very happy and relaxed."
