Charlene Choi attended a preview event of her new album at Causeway Bay on Saturday. With this album marking Charlene's first release in a year, the star went on to explain that the lengthy absence was partly due to her work commitments in China over the past two months, where she had been participating in a diving programme and also filming a movie, reported Mingpao. Now that all of that is done, she will be focusing on promoting her new album. When asked if she's recovered from a back injury she sustained while participating in the diving program, Charlene replied: "I did physiotherapy for a month in China and my back is half-recovered."The doctor said that I will need another month of physiotherapy but I do not have time and the cost of treatment is slightly expensive."The declaration that medical treatment was too costly for a celebrity who's said to be a young, wealthy woman raised a few eyebrows but Charlene went on to explain: "It really is very expensive. One package costs tens of thousands of Chinese yuan (10,000RMB = S$2,056)."Gillian Chung (her former Twins groupmate) also previously visited a physiotherapist and bought a package there, so I am using her package."At the mention of Gillian, reporters then tried to sniff out how she was coping after breaking up with her, Korean boyfriend by broaching the topic to Charlene. She replied that her mood was pretty good and has been pretty good all along, and that Charlene believes that it is destined by fate. When Charlene's own boyfriend, William Chan, recently returned to Hong Kong after filming a television series in Mainland, the couple had originally planned to travel abroad but the trip was cancelled after her dog fell ill. When asked if she travels often with William Chan, Charlene revealed that they are just like regular couples.
