The pretty Belgium fan who was lucky to land a modelling contract because she was coincidentally caught on camera during the World Cup, has now lost it because of a Facebook post.

17-year-old Axelle Despiegelaere has landed a modelling contract with L'Oréal has garnered more than 200,000 fans on her Facebook page.

However, the Internet responded with outrage when she posted a picture of her "hunt".

The Business Insider posted a screen shot of the post (above) of the photo of Axelle "proudly sitting behind what appears to be a dead gazelle" before she deleted it.

A spokesperson from L’Oréal told The Independent that "the brand was aware of the photograph" but would not comment on whether this was behind the decision to terminate Axelle's contract.

However, the cosmetic giant stressed that L'Oréal "no longer tests on animals, anywhere in the world, and does not delegate this task to others."

A Twitter user said:

"I'm happy to read that L'Oreal have dropped Axelle Despiegelaere as their model. Hunting and killing beautiful animals is a disgrace."

Many others echoed the same sentiment.
