Former Miss Hong Kong contestant Selena Li might not be seen on screen much, but the 33-year-old brainy beauty is still making millions of money through other sources.
According to Jaynestars, Selena makes about two films a year, and rarely attends media functions or accept endorsements.
A source reported that this is due to Selena's choice to reject many job offers so she can focus on her business career.
During her six-month hiatus this year, Selena has been investing in many areas.
She said: “I had no work but I still need an income. I invested a lot, also earning a lot with these investments. In the past few years, I’ve earned a few million dollars [HKD].”
The 2003 Miss Hong Kong contestant is not skimp with her earnings either.
She reportedly treated the cast of Ghost Dragon of Cold Mountain to a luxurious Australian Wagyu beef dinner the week before.
Turns out she must have picked that restaurant located in Hong Kong's Central district because she is a shareholder.
The majority shareholder is said to be her rumoured boyfriend, Mo Xuan.
Though they refer to each other as god-siblings, the pair were spotted kissing each other at a nightclub a few years ago, reported Jaynestars.
When quizzed about her relationship with Mo, the 33-year-old star denied they were dating and also added she did not learn investing from him.
She said: “He never took me to a nightclub. We haven’t seen each other in a long time. I’ve been quite busy lately, so I’m never in Hong Kong. Also, in August, my new drama starts filming.”
Jaynestars said Selena has invested many restaurants but declined to reveal how much she has earned.
