Signed with Style International when she was only 14 years old, model and actress Angelababy experienced a surge in popularity, said a report on Jaynestars.

Her film career expanded after starring in 2010′s Hot Summer Days.

Now at the age of 25, Angelababy has completed 16 movies in total. Kim Chou, the director of Style International, recalled the early days when Angelababy first started her film career and had to step out of her comfort zone.

Hot Summer Days turned out to be a big success and was well-received in Mainland China at the box office.

Angelababy’s role as a countryside factory girl proved to be likeable among viewers.

Starring in one of the film’s short stories, Angelababy’s scenes took one week to complete in Beijing, and she had to adapt to a different lifestyle in order to immerse herself into character.

Since the director of the film wanted Angelababy to fully experience life in the countryside, she was prohibited from using her cellphone during the seven-day filming process.

Angelababy was extremely afraid of bugs and dirty restrooms, to the point that she even avoided going to the restroom on airplanes.

During the day, she did not visit the restrooms until she got back to her hotel.

After the week of work, Angelababy expressed she had enjoyed the process and found it to be interesting instead of terrifying.

Her first role was very memorable and it triggered her love for acting.

Kim expressed happily that she has watched Angelababy grow up in the industry and treats her like a daughter. Kim is confident that Angelababy’s acting career will only continue to reach new heights.
