Although not a lead star in TVB dramas, Alice Chan (陳煒) leads a luxurious life  The former ATV actress recently purchased a mansion at Hong Kong’s Residence Bel-Air that is worth more than $26 million HKD.

In addition, she also purchased a seven-seater minivan worth $600,000 HKD and hired a new personal driver, reports Jayne Stars.

A few days ago, Alice was spotted shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui. Her driver then took her to Harbour City, where she checked out designer handbags, shoes, and clothes. She also purchased a few down jackets, to prepare for her winter trip overseas.

In 2008, Alice married Taiwanese businessman James Yen and retired from showbiz. She returned to acting after signing with TVB and made her first comeback in the legal drama Friendly Fire <法網狙擊>.

Out of the former ATV starlets who are currently working for TVB, such as Kristal Tin (田蕊妮), Joey Meng (萬綺雯), and Elena Kong (江美儀), Alice is the least promoted. However, she leads the most luxurious lifestyle.

It has been reported that Alice earned at least $2 million HKD last year through TVB dramas and endorsements. She purchased a mansion, hired a new chauffeur, and even hosted a six-table banquet for Kent Tong’s (湯鎮業) birthday in Shanghai in late Sep.

A source close to Alice said that she is quite the lucky star. After marrying James Yen, she has brought good luck to James and his business. Since joining TVB, she received many endorsements and even received many offers to make appearances in Mainland China, where her old ATV dramas are constantly rerunning.
