A special appearance by popular J-pop girl group AKB48 lit up the first-ever Tokyo Auto Salon Singapore motoring exhibition.

The girls appeared in a exclusive segment held as a part of the show, and performed some of their hit songs for the crowd.

The three-day motorshow -- which took place from Friday to Sunday (Apr 12 - 14) -- at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre had visitors whipping out their cameras with activities such as a meet-and-greet sessions with J girls, a 10-girl group of Japanese race queens, as well as a performance from 16 of AKB48's members.

These girls weren't the only eye candy on show that day -- local race queens and brand ambassadors also captured the attention of visitors as they gamely posed for photos alongside the various speed monsters on display.
