A transgender make-up artist from New York has spent S$152,785 turning herself into Kim Kardashian.

Thalia Almodovar, who was born a male, transitioned into a female in her early teens and began having surgeries on her boobs and bum in her early twenties.

According to a report in TheLadBible, the 28-year-old told The Mirror that people often stop her to ask for a selfie because she looks just like the reality TV star.

She said:

"I couldn’t see it at first but then I embraced it. I’d get preferential treatment in clubs and restaurants. People would mob me for selfies."

Along with spending S$109,123 (£50,000) on a bottom enhancement, boob job, and lip injections, Almodovar also forked out S$21,822 (£10,000) on clothes and shoes. However, despite having her dream looks, she admits finding love is difficult and she is still searching for her 'own Kanye'.

"Sometimes guys just want to talk to me because I look like Kim without getting to know me – that annoys me. I had this guy that dated me only because he had an obsession with Kim. I’m single now so I’m on the lookout for my own Kanye," she said.

She hopes that her curves and good looks lead to her being as famous as her idol and is trying to find work as a professional look alike.

"I’d like to be famous for who I am, but why not?"
