Women pay a high price for being vain, as singer Stefanie Sun knows all too well.
The songstress posted a photo on Weibo on Sunday, showing her bruised feet and 'scarred' legs, reports AsiaOne.
The purplish bruise marks on her feet and deeply lined imprints running up her legs are presumably from a pair of highly-uncomfortable gladiator-style footwear that is probably a size too small.
She wrote: "The price female stars pay for being vain."
Her 'battle scars' left some fans worried, with one replying on the post to "stop wearing those shoes", while another said: "You can wear sports shoes to perform, we won't look down on you."
The singer is believed to be rehearsing for the Sing50 concert at the Singapore National Stadium on Friday, Aug 7, in the lead up to the nation's 50th birthday celebration.
Other stars at the show include JJ Lin, Asian diva Tracy Huang, local veterans Rahimah Rahim, X'ho and Art Fazil; and indie stars The Oddfellows, Ling Kai and Reuby.
