The identity of a Korean singer who allegedly scammed Big Bang member Seungri out of 2 billion won (S$2.4 million) has been revealed to be Shin Eun Sung.

According to Koreaboo, reports on Jan 4 revealed that Seungri is officially accusing the singer for fraud.

His agency YG Entertainment said:

"Even though it is Seungri’s personal issue, we will be taking joint action with Seungri.

"This is very regrettable.

"The agency will respond with join action on the issue. With the prosecution, we will reveal the facts.”

Shin Eun Sung debuted in 2003 with New Silver Star and released her last album Bye Bye in October 2004.

According to the prosecution, she approached Seungri in June 2014 with a real estate investment proposal.

Since he was acquainted with her, he agreed to invest 2 billion won.

In August, she approached him again for an additional 50 million won for a total of 2.05 billion won.

After not seeing any return on his investment, Seungri filed a lawsuit against the former singer on December 29, 2015 for fraud.
