A series of shocking texts allegedly show Jim Carrey and his ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, discussing the possibility of her contracting STDs -- and him snubbing her.
The actor is accused of giving White three sexually transmitted diseases before her suicide last year.
In a wrongful death lawsuit, filed by Ms. White’s estranged husband, Mark Burton, lawyers claim the movie star gave her herpes type 1, herpes type 2 and gonorrhea.
The texts show White concerned about 'bumps', while Carrey tries to convince her it could be something else, or that it could be from someone else before him.
He then calls her 'overly dramatic', saying he did not want to deal with her drama.
The lawsuit says,
Mr Carrey repeatedly acted in a heartless, outlandish, exploitive, despicable, abhorrent, outrageous, opportunistic and pure evil manner in that: Carrey knowingly gave Ms White sexually transmitted diseases without any regard for her and well-being; Carrey lied about the fact that he had given her the diseases.
Besides the texts, a private letter was also included in the filing.
White wrote to Carrey in 2013 describing herself as "damaged goods" after she learned she had contracted the diseases.
In that letter White also writes that she has been made to feel "disrespected, degraded, called a whore, an opportunist, threatened" and like an "ungrateful b****."
