Reporters have recently discovered Crystal Liu's stepfather's vast wealth that afforded the Chinese actress a privileged upbringing at an enormous Beijing residence.

According to JayneStars, Crystal's home is an estimated 4000 to 5000 square meters, about the size of four football fields.

The backyard alone is the size of a single football field and the property is equipped with a pavilion and other buildings for relaxation.

In order to support Crystal's hobbies and interests, her parents also splashed out funds to construct a specialised dance practice studio and music room.

In addition to her Beijing home, Crystal also reportedly owns a lakeside villa in Suzhou as well.

Reporters also dug up more details about Crystal's formative years.

Born in 1987, she learnt dance from her mother, Liu Xiaoli, a professional dancer and stage performer.

She got her first taste of the limelight as a child model at eight-years-old where she won a modelling competition for children's apparel.

However, when she was ten, her parents divorced and her mother brought her to the United States so that she could get a better education.

She completed her middle school years there before returning to China to pursue a career in entertainment.
