TVB actress Nancy Wu earlier attended a wrap-up dinner in Tsim Sha Tsui for her new martial arts series, A Fist Within Four Walls.
True to its theme, the cast shot a fight scene in almost every episode.
According to Jaynestars, despite the tedious filming process, Nancy exclaimed everything was worth it when they saw the final playback results.
The 34-year-old actress happily expressed, “We’re finally done filming! Finally endured it! I heard that this series has the most fight scenes in TVB within the past decade. We fought for three months, and the whole cast is now strong!”
When asked if Nancy developed muscles from the intense workouts, she replied, “I always had muscles, but now there are bruises as well. It’s good that we persisted until the end!”
Nancy shared that her entire arm was bruised after she completed her first fight scene.
“It was because I had to do somersaults on the cement. I wasn’t very skilled at the time and knocked my arm.
"I also had to use both real and fake knives during the shooting process. Even with the fake ones, I was scared of harming my colleague. To an extent, there was also psychological stress involved!”
When asked if her boyfriend Terry Chan is worried about her bruised body, she remarked, “My entire group of friends were shocked to see me with all the bruises and asked what had happened. They told me to be careful and not push myself too hard. I didn’t use a stunt double for the majority of the scenes.”
Nancy added that she would not be filming another drama like this in a while, since it exerted a lot of effort and energy.
“There were also a lot of heavy emotional scenes. There was blood, sweat, and tears!”
