Amidst all the snubbing from other beauty queens, Miss Philippines has at least one friend she knows she can count on -- Miss Bulgaria.
According to GMA News Online, Miss Germany was displeased about Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach's win, but apparently not everyone was.
Steve Harvey, the host of the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday misread his cue card and announced Miss Colombia the winner of the contest instead of Miss Philippines. He then awkwardly changed his announcement to crown Ms Wurtzbach instead.
An earlier clip had showed the girls all ignoring Pia as they crowded around a crying Miss Colombia after the mix up. They even told her to 'step back' and cheered 'Colombia Colombia'.
However, it seems Miss Philippines has a loyal friend she can still count on.
During the initial shock, Pia did not quite believe what she had heard. Unsure of what to do, she turns back.
Miss Bulgaria Radostina Todorova then claps loudly and tells her to 'GO!" with a large smile. Wurtzbach sees the gesture and it spurs her to continue walking forward to accept the crown she had won.
"Even if we already know what to do, we always look for that one friend who will push us to do it. We all need a #MissBulgaria in our lives," said Facebook user Ron Cruz, who posted screengrabs of the moment.
Todorova, 20, is a model from Vratsa, Bulgaria.
Miss USA and second runner-up Olivia Jordan stuck with Wurtzbach as she tried to collect her thoughts on her win, while Miss Australia and fourth runner-up Monika Radulovic revealed that the contestants were surprised when host Steve Harvey proclaimed Miss Colombia the winner.
The teleprompter, she said, showed that it was in fact Wurtzbach who had won the title.
