Alexandra will be the first ever African American female to be an official member of a Korean girl group.

According to Koreaboo, RaNia‘s agency, DR Music, announced that the group will be soon making a comeback with a new member, Alexandra.

DR Music said in a statement on Nov 4, “We have recruited female rapper Alexandra as an official member and begin promoting our album soon. This is the first time in K-Pop that a black female rapper has become cast as a group member.”

Alexandra was born in Kansas, USA, and has an African American father and Caucasian mother.

She was active under a famous hip-hop label ‘Def Jam’ ever since she was 15. Def Jam manages famous artists such as Kanye West, Jay Z, Rihanna, andDrake.

Alexandra was the female lead in Jamie Foxx‘s MV ‘You Changed Me’ as Chris Brown‘s girlfriend. She was also active as a model and composer.

Alexandra was preparing for her debut in USA when she came in contact with RaNia and became an official member. As a part of the contract, RaNia’s activities in the United States will be managed by Bruno Mars’s current manager, Scott.
