After five years living as a transgender, a Malaysian cosmetics millionaire recently underwent surgery to become a man again.

According to Berita Harian, Safiuddin Ilias, 22, who also goes by Sofea Putih or Safiey, had contemplated undergoing reconstructive surgery since last December before finally deciding to remove his breast implants on Saturday (April 16) at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

A post he wrote on Facebook went viral where he said he hoped the 'dark phase' he had experienced could be a lesson for others in society and admitted that the turning point in his life came after experiencing a series of challenges including feeling greedy for seeking only worldly materials.

Safiuddin is the founder of successful Malaysian cosmetic company WisPutih.

He updated his Facebook status saying that he hoped his transformation would not be used by others to attack the transgender community.
