Malaysian contestant responds to her loss in Sing! China: She had throat infection

Malaysian lass Jeryl Lee Pei Ling thanked her friends and fans for their support, even though she did not top the recently concluded Sing! China reality TV singing competition, Guang Ming Daily reported.

The teenager from Penang said she gave her best in the finale despite having a throat infection.

The 16-year-old, whose parents were present at the show's finale at the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing on Friday, sang the Disney hit Let It Go.

She was among six finalists, achieving the best ever results by a Malaysian in the competition.
