K-pop star Jung Joon-young is being investigated over an alleged sexual offence, where his ex-girlfriend has accused him of secretly making a sex tape.
On the 23rd, news broke out that Drug Restaurant‘s lead vocalist Jung Joon Young was involved in a sexual assault investigation after a woman claimed that she felt sexually harassed by the artist during their two months of alleged dating.
On the 24th, his label C9 Entertainment had released a statement saying Jung Joon Young's ex-girlfriend had reported him for sexual assault, but that he had been cleared. However, it's now being reported that Jung was accused not for sexual assault, but for sexual harassment -- more specifically, that he filmed his ex-girlfriend while they were having sex with a hidden camera.
Jung's ex-girlfriend, who has remained anonymous, filed for charges against the 27-year-old on Aug 6 for secretly filming her while the couple had sexual intercourse earlier this year.
Reports say she cancelled the suit a few days later.
In response to these accusations, his agency C9 Entertainment stated that it was all a misunderstanding between them, and that the case has been dropped.
According to Allkpop, it has been revealed that Jung admitted to filming during sex. However, it was not by a hidden camera, and that he deleted the video.
He claimed that he misunderstood her for having given him consent.
When asked to turn in the device used to film the video for evidence, the rock vocalist claimed that he had deleted the video from his cell phone as soon as their intercourse was over and that his cell phone was recently broken anyway and did not turn the device over to prosecutors.
