Jessica Chastain brings back durian from Singapore for Jimmy Kimmel: 'I love it'

We all know how 'ang mohs' feel about durians -- so it's refreshing when glamorous actresses like Jessica Chastain show love for our local fruit.

The actress was recently in Singapore to promote her new movie The Huntsman: Winter's War and decided to bring back our local delicacy for talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

Stomper Chen brought the video interview to Stomp's attention.

"They call it the blue cheese of fruit," she told Kimmel when she appeared on his show on Wednesday (April 20).

"I love it. It tastes like onions and garlic and avocado and pineapple, kind of like in a custard."

Err... We don't know about that but Jimmy Kimmel didn't seem to share the same love for the king of fruits like Jessica did.

Jessica came armed with rubber gloves and two large knives to split open the prickly durian for tasting.

Kimmel exclaimed, "Oh my god, it attacked me!" while Chastain laughed. "It's foul."

After gathering up the courage to try the durian Kimmel declared that it's "kind of on the line between horrible and delicious."

But we think he was leaning more towards horrible when he mentioned, "I feel like throwing up a little bit."
