Guy with most unfortunate name ever forced to prove it's real to Facebook

A Vietnamese-Australian man has had his Facebook account suspended several times all because of his unfortunate-sounding name -- which happens to be real.

Nobody believes Phuc Dat Bich’s name — pronounced “Phoo Da Bic” — is actually his real name because of how it sounds, reports Elite Daily.

The 23-year-old says he’s been blocked by Facebook several times trying to create an account for himself and even had to upload a picture of his passport just to prove his name was legitimate.

In a post originally uploaded to Facebook, Phuc angrily wrote:

"I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it. I’ve been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I’m Asian? Is it? Having my fb shut down multiple times and forced to change my name to my ‘real’ name, so just to put it out there. My name.

"Yours sincerely, Phuc Dat Bich."

Facebook’s chief product officer Chris Cox eventually issued an apology for the mistake.
