Asia’s top Mandopop outdoor music festival, Spring Wave Music Festival, takes the stage this year on 10 October with a line-up of five rock stars in a six-hour concert featuring heavyweight rock icons from Taiwan.
Proudly presented by Tiger Beer, the highly-anticipated music festival will treat music lovers to an electrifying evening with high-energy Mandopop music and refreshing Tiger Beer, within the lush greenery of Fort Canning Green.

Aunty Roxy, is a 6 member Rock n’ Roll band formed in 2010. Heavily influenced by 80s, they use powerful beats, multi-layered instrumental rhythm and high-pitched vocals, to channel their inner Rock n’ Roll souls to their audience.
They have won numerous awards such as best singer for the 2012 Harley Davidson fanatic rock band contest, and best band in the 2012 First Taiwan Cup Orchestra Contest.
They continue to rock out on stage while promoting Rock n’ Roll to the younger generation.
Fronted by Malaysian-born singer-songwriter Penny Tai, known for the theme song “Ni Yao De Ai” (The Love You Want) featured in popular Taiwanese drama series, Meteor Garden, Buddha Jump, was formed in 2011, after members from music group D-Power, came on board.
Consisting of 6 band members, Buddha Jump is influenced by different genres of music, with the members bringing a mix of pop and alternative rock genres.
A-YueA-Yue, or Chang Chen Yue has been in Taiwan’s music industry for over two decades. With a true-to-myself belief, he has made himself an icon in the industry by creating hit songs one after another.
Ranging from rock, electronic, folk, acoustic to hip-hop genres, his work reflects a period in his life which he shares with his audience. His album released in 2013 titled, I am Ayal Komod, clinched the 25th Golden Melody Awards for Best Mandarin Album.
Chang Chen Yue’s music has mellowed to a more endearing and matured sound, warming hearts with his pure and sincere music.
Luantan Ascent, whose real name is Chen Tai-xiang (Ascent), was the lead singer and guitarist for Luantan band, founded in 1996. Responsible for all musical and lyrical creations, Ascent became a solo artist, after releasing two albums, and continued to write songs under the name “Luantan Ascent”, further releasing six original albums.
A four time Golden Melody Awards winner, his 8th album, Me in Place of You, a collection of his best original television and film soundtracks, won Best Original Film Song at the 48th Annual Golden Horse Awards. Luantan Ascent was also crowned Best Mandarin Male Singer at the 23rd Annual Golden Melody Awards in 2012, winning both the Golden Horse Award and the Golden Melody Award. As a producer, he won the Best Single Producer Award at the 24th Annual Golden Melody Awards for his song An Unusual Friend, for artist Jia Jia.
Melding local Taiwanese opera with Nanguan and Beiguan tunes, Luantan Ascent’s style of music is his own style of avant-garde rock, with the infectious sincerity of his low, desolate voice. His original and unique musical creations is a reflection of how he lives his life, by facing one’s true self with honesty.
Wu Bai is one of the biggest Rock Stars in the Mandarin Music territory, which includes Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, with fans in Japan, USA, and Australia. Throughout the years, he has held numerous sold out concerts in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and the “House of Blues” in LA.
A singer-songwriter, his albums has won many awards and topped the sales charts. Most recently, CCTV 2012 Music Honors, for Band of the year, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau. He has gone on to write songs for popular artists, including Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Faye Wang, Karen Mok, Vivian Hsu, Alan Tam, Nicolas Tse and Jolin Tsai.
Wu Bai and his band China Blue celebrated their 23rd anniversary and started their 11th concert tour "Endless Shining World" in 2014. The world tour concert will tour to 13 different cities. Wu Bai has released 23 albums with Taiwan sales accumulating to 5,000,000 copies, a record for a Taiwanese Rock singer.
