4 dead after chopper crashes during filming for Chongqing TV station

All four people onboard were killed when a helicopter crashed after losing contact with ground control in Chongqing Sep 13.

Xinhua reports that the Bell 407 GX aircraft went down after it took off from the city's Wanzhou district towards Liangping county at around 1:00 p.m.

The chopper was reportedly being used by local station Chongqing Broadcasting Group to take aerial snaps of the city.

Two cameramen were among those killed, and have been identified as Jiang Ya and Song Hao'en, reports Shanghaiist

hey were filming for a program called "A Bird's Eye View of the New Chongqing", which has been airing since 2012.

The helicopter wreckage was located at around 6:30 p.m. in Hucao village along with the bodies of all four passengers.

The other two victims have not been identified.
