2012 Miss Hong Kong second-runner up, Tracy Chu is one of the up-and-coming stars heavily groomed to become an A-list actress in TVB.

According to Asian Pop News, Tracy has taken a one-year break from acting after filming K9 Cop to concentrate on her studies.

Tracy is now taking the M.S.Sc. in Corporate Communication from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Yesterday, Tracy attended an event and revealed that she had completed the first semester, and scored distinction for her results. Tracy joked that as she is now paying for her school fees, she has to put in extra efforts in her studies. Her classmates are also very hardworking, and this motivated her to work harder.

Tracy also shared that she had travelled to Prague and Vienna as part of her study tour for 2 weeks, and she is rushing to complete a project now. Although she is a celebrity, she does not have any difficulty making friends with her classmates.

Tracy said that she would not be filming dramas for now, but she will still be accepting commercials and attending events, so she is still able to support herself financially. However, she will make time to promote her new dramas, K9 Cop and EU: Overtime Mission.
