It was a night dedicated to honouring the biggest and brightest in Taiwan's television industry, and for the first time in his hosting career, Singaporean TV host Wong Jinglun found himself ranked among the stars.

The 33-year-old, who found fame in Taiwan since taking part in singing competition One Million Star in 2008, was named Best Host In A Children's Programme at the prestigious 51st Golden Bell Awards on Saturday (Oct 8).

In his acceptance speech, Wong said he did not expect to win and thanked Taiwan for recognising his work.

This year's Golden Bell Awards was held at the National Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, and saw the reunion of two top-selling boybands from the 1990s and early 2000s - S.B.D.W and 5566.

Other stars present at the ceremony include Running Man's Kim Jong-kook, actress Cheryl Yang, Lady First host Pauline Lan and popular drama actress Chen Meifeng.
