O2, a British phone company, held a Twitter promotion where they were offering free pizza to their customers.

According to a report by TheChive via Mashable, Dan May was unsuccessful in his attempt to obtain some free pizza so he decided to try something else.

O2’s next promo involved free ice cream. In his tweet, Dan mentioned O2’s competitor, Three UK.

Three UK responded and sent pizza and ice cream to Dan.

Not wanting to lose a customer, O2 offered free pizza to Dan May for the rest of the year.
