Malaysian actor Remy Ishak allegedly receives death threat from female member of royal family

Actor Remy Ishak's handphone has been seized by Malaysian police in an investigation into  an alleged threat made against him by a female member of a royal family.

According to The Star via AsiaOne, the police also confiscated the handphone of the female royal's personal bodyguard to assist in the probe.

The bodyguard had reportedly been arrested a day after the threat was made on August 29 but was released on police bail after giving his statement.

The handphones are being analysed by the police's digital forensics unit.

Remy,whose real name is Mohammad Zalimei Ishak, had apparently recorded the death threat on his handphone.

The 34-year-old heartthrob - famous for his role in dramas Anak Halal and Nur Kasih - had earlier claimed that he was threatened because he refused to meet the woman over a business deal.
