Jennifer Lopez's Las Vegas stage costumes are inspired by Cher and Barbra Streisand.
The 'On the Floor' hitmaker's Planet Hollywood residency kicked off in the gambling capital earlier this week and she looked to the veteran entertainers for ideas when coming up with her outfits.
She said: "I've come up with some incredible costumes that will remind people of what Cher or Barbra Streisand wore when they performed. It's like a fantasy world for me."
The 46-year-old singer intends for the production to be a "Bronx-style block party".
She explained before the first show took place: "I'm very excited about it. We're going to have some fantastic dance numbers and it's going to be a really high-energy show.
"My idea is for it to make it a kind of Bronx-style block party where you make the audience feel like jumping out of their seats."
Despite years in the music industry, Jennifer still gets a thrill from performing.
She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "When I'm on stage, I have this incredible sensation of feeling the energy and love that comes from the audience.
"Having the chance to express yourself and be creative is the most wonderful feeling."
