As the first international celebrity guest host for NHK World TV travel show Tokyo Eye 2020, Michelle Chong will be introducing audiences to the sights and food of Tokyo in her upcoming episodes.

Her appreciation for good food, culture and her impressive social media following led her to represent Singapore as a host for the show, which sees Chong trade her usual goofy personality for a more demure disposition.

Chong waxed lyrical about the food in Japan, and joked that she may have drunk a bit too much sake while filming a segment on sake and Japanese snacks.

She said her Chinese KTV hostess character Lulu from TV series The Noose, who will feature in upcoming film Lulu: The Movie, would fit right into Japan's colourful fashion scene, and would probably attempt to host her own fashion TV show in Tokyo.
