Proud mother Kate was seen snapping adorable photographs of Prince George as she dropped him off at Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk, eastern England for his first day yesterday (Jan 6).

In the pictures, the two-year-old prince was spotted wearing a navy blue quilted coat with a sky blue rucksack.

According to AFP via Straits Times, the nursery, which costs nearly $11 an hour to attend, is located near the family's country home at Anmer Hall on Queen Elizabeth II's private Sandrigham estate.

Succeeding his grandfather Prince Charles and father William, Prince George will attend the nursery while his parents are living at Anmer Hall.

Prince George is one of the few British royals to attend nursery. His dad, Prince William went to an exclusive nursery school around Kensington Palace by the late princess Diana.

With a forward-looking approach to education, Montessori schools are known to encourage independent learning.
