You'll never believe how much Japanese sumo wrestlers eat in one day

It's almost impossible to believe how much sumo wrestlers in Japan can eat in one day.

Players of the national sport ideally weigh between 400 to 600 pounds, according to these pictures from Izismile.

Besides immense strength and flexibility, they also require eating right.

Believe it or not, a typical wrestler eats up to 20,000 per day -- a shocking amount considering that the recommended daily intake for a normal, healthy male is only 2,500.

This means that they eat almost 10 times as much as a normal male, and all in two meals.

Check out the gallery for a sumo wrestler's regular eating schedule, as well as photos of other big eaters.
