Actor and former singer in boyband Fahrenheit Wu Chun has confessed that he is a father -- and revealed that his wife is actually his first love.
Two years ago, he had denied a Next Magazine report that he had a wife and a daughter, reports The Straits Times
He has launched a new book, Ignite Courage, on Wednesday (Oct 2), prompting talk that his confession is a publicity stunt, said United Daily News.
The Brunei-born, Taiwan-based star wrote on his blog: "I now have a role that money can't buy... as a happy super dad!"
Wu, who turns 34 this month, did not say that he was married. Nor did he name his partner.
But he said she had been with him since he was 16.
"She is my first girlfriend," he wrote.
"She has accompanied me through numerous ups and downs in life, from my studies in Australia to my mother's death and my best friend's departure, and she takes care of my business in Brunei."
He said he had introduced her to his friends at the start of his show business career.
But as his popularity grew, she wanted to keep a low profile and he had to respect her decision, he added.
Wu has starred in television dramas such as Hanazakarino Kimitachie (2006) and movies such as 14 Blades (2010).
